Candace Calsoyas, Ph.D, is a faculty lecturer at University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). She teaches seminars with a focus on the environment and culture. She has supervised interns in agroecology and sustainable practices and teaches the Senior Exit class for Environmental Studies majors and College 8 Core course. The relationship between environment and culture have shaped her academic and vocational interests, while her life commitment is to sustainability and ecology. On her farm, she has developed farming practices to have minimal impact upon wildlife, soils, and plants. She is now taking her experience world-wide. She is also an editor of Catamaran Literary Magazine and has received two Fulbright scholarships to Albania and Bhutan.
